Who is Youth Unify for?
Youth Unify Camp is aimed at 14-24 year olds with a YMCA connection who have an interest in exploring the Christian Mission and Identity of the YMCA. The camp is also suitable for young leaders over 24 years of age who are helping/volunteer and/or bringing a group of young people.
Where is Youth Unify 2026?
Youth Unify 2026 is hosted by YMCA Munich at their young people’s residential facility in the Bavarian countryside. It is in the village of Magnetsried about 10 minutes drive from Lake Starnberg and less than an hour drive from Munich. The landscape is very beautiful rolling hills with Alpine views. The house is well equipped and comfortable with a large garden. A small YMCA sports field is 10 minutes walk away.
What is the accommodation like?
The accommodation is in shared rooms. Basic standard but good quality. Most of the rooms have a bathroom. A few rooms have a bathroom on the corridor.
How do I pay?
When you register you will be asked for your bank details and to make a Direct Debit SEPA Mandate declaration. You will then receive a confirmation email with cost of your order. The payment will be taken from the bank details provided in June.
How do I get the Eastern European discounted fee?
There are a limited number of places per nation. Please contact your national office. Only participants nominated by their national office will receive this option.
Do I need to bring towels and bedding?
You can choose to bring your own bedding (sheet, duvet cover and pillowcase required) and your own towel. Or you may rent them from the venue for approximately 10 EUR.
What about alcohol and smoking?
No alcohol may be consumed at Youth Unify, whatever your age. There will be a designated outdoor smoking area.
How do I get to the venue?
The final details are still being arranged but you have two options:
- Arrive directly at the venue by car (please arrive between 19:00 and 20:00)
- Arrive without car at YMCA Munich Youth Hotel in Munich City Centre (please arrive between 15:00 and 18:00, bag drop available before 15:00). We will then arrange a transfer to the Venue.
We will not provide transfers from local train stations to the venue.
When does the camp end?
The camp ends after breakfast on Tuesday 11th August. Transfer back to the YMCA Youth Hotel in Munich City Centre is available.
Do delegation leaders and volunteers/helpers need to register?
Yes, everybody who is attending must register as a participant. Leaders and volunteers pay the same fees as participants.
Is there any opportunity for tourism?
Yes, we will be organising some Munich accommodation options and tour options for 11th and 12th August, after the camp finishes. This will be at extra cost and can be booked later.
