World Mission Conference 2026

Time for us to gather, across the global YMCA family, to share learning and gain fresh perspectives on our work together. 

Over the last four years Christian mission networks have continued to emerge and grow, from South America to Asia, Europe to USA, prayerfully supporting World YMCA’s Vision 2030 and exploring how we can see spiritual life and vitality thrive in every YMCA.

Our theme for this conference was ‘Ascend’ — inspired by this declaration in Isaiah 55: 

“As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” 

Our prayer is, ‘Lord Jesus, show us Your perspective.’

So, we came together for our nations, to share wisdom, and to seek a higher view, that we might love, serve and care with boldness in our YMCAs in the years to come.

This informal conference is organised and co-hosted by leaders from various Christian Mission networks including Joe Schmutz from Germany, Peter Ho from Hong Kong, Josh Heaston from USA and Tim Roberts from the UK.
